I just got my rk max travel kit installed yesterday and was going to get some aftermarket wheels but I'm kinda diggin how my jeep looks with the stock wheels. I'm currently running 295/70/17 terra graps and wanted 35s, but I kinda like the look how it sits. I am thinking wheel spacers but not sure which width or brand. Everyone locally tells me to stay away from spacers but a lot of you guys seem to be running them with no problems. What are the "cons" of running spacers? Also with the red loctite on the stud threads how hard is it to get the spacers back off of the hub if I do change wheels?

 

I have spidertrax 1.5 and thay come with loctite and never had a problem with them.

Thats what I was wondering. I didn't know how strong the loctite was. Any trouble with shaking or vibrations or anything loosening up at all?

 

I have the 1.5" spidertraxx spacers which are hub centric. No problems what so ever. Before you install them make sure to remove those star clip retainers on your hub/lugs. This will allow the spacers to be snug/properly flushed. Then after 500 miles check the tightness of the lug nuts that are used to mount the spacers to the hub. The torque setting is 95ft lbs, I usually set mine at 90ft lbs, if it the lug nut doesn't move then you know it hasn't backed off. Thereafter you can check the torque at every tire rotation....

Yea I just ordered my lift from david, awesome guy. I think that's about the average price I've seen them I just didn't know if you guys had found them cheaper anywhere.

 

I run 1.25" spacers from All Pro Off Road ($160.00 for all 4), I use them more so to clear my 15" wheels but, actually really like the slightly widened stance they give my Jeep.
I have had zero issues with them so far.
If and when I do go to a larger size wheel, I will keep them on.
