Default I've searched, but need lift help

First things first, picked up a 2010 JK 4door automatic for the wife this past weekend (came with both hard and soft tops). It’s the first Jeep in wither of our families (if you can believe that), and the wife and kids love it. They can’t wait for this weekend though, we’re taking the top off and rolling for Memorial Day (Spiderwebshade is on its way).

Now for the fun part, lift and tires.

The hard part. Which lift?

Looking at getting a 2.5” to 4” (actual lift) suspension system to run 35” tires. Don’t want to wipe out the account, but would also like a complete system, whether that entails a new drive shaft or not, that would give us the best all around package and provide great on-the-road drive characteristics. AEV, RK, TF, Currie, etc… are all out there with comparable products. The family and I go to the beach and play in the sand, and occasionally go off road, but our off-road travels are minimal and limited in the extremeness of the terrain.

Like I said, this is our first Jeep, and the choices seem endless and somewhat identical (even though they are far from that). So in your opinion, what is the best system for my intentions and purposes?
Can you guys point me in the right direction?

Are you set on 35s? Honestly, from what your plans are for the Jeep with your family, I'd consider keeping it stock for awhile and see if you feel you even need to lift it or a 2.5" budget boost & 33s would look good, require minimal modifications, and would be great for sand @ the beach and light off-roading on trails.

With 35s you'll have to mod quite a bit including to lift it higher, replace the front d/s, get new longer shocks, and most likely regear to get the power back you'll lose going to bigger tires.

Also, figure out your budget. Knowing what you're willing to spend will help eliminate some options since some kits are more expensive than others.

There are a ton of these threads and as many opinions. Here is one that I recently posted on.
