Default Budget kit or leveling kit and what kind

I am completely new to mods, just added some 33's & spidertrax spacers, thinking next mod will be minor lift as mentioned, from what I understand they both add some lift. So which one and why, and what kind, will be for light offroad. Only other mods for future(for now only I am sure) will be winch bumber and winch. Looking to spend low range with best quality in range.

We did the bds leveling kit. Only light off roading so far and no problems. Running 285/70/17 nitto trail grapplers. I would love to put a full lift but my CFO says we will have to wait a year.

I had a level kit on my setup (34.4" trail grapplers) and loved the setup and look. I just upgraded to a 2.5 TF Coil lift with Bilstein 5100s because when I added heavy bumpers it weighed it down and took away some of the lift.

as mentioned, a leveling kit will give you what you want or, even budget boost will do the trick with a little more height. with a small lift like this, you really can't go wrong with any of the kits out there today.

Rancho has a nice 2 inch kit with there RS9000 adjustable shocks(RS66109BR9) and until 6/30/12 there is a $100 rebate. They also have a new 3 inch sport kit(RS66106B) and 3 inch trail kit(RS66107) that qualify for a $500 rebate if you order them with the RS9000 shocks. The rebate is a Visa card.

There is a huge online seller that lists the 2 inch kit for $386, but I ordered my Rancho kit from Bryan at 4wd Hardware, his signature here is Bustabizz. He gave me a much better price than I could find anywhere else.

IMO, a better choice would be the 3 inch trail kit. I bet you could get that kit and RS9000 shocks for under $900, but you would get a $500 rebate.

Here is a link to the new Rancho kits: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/spon...eep-jk-227066/

Another choice would be to get a set of stock springs and shocks from 4 door Rubicon with hard top and tow package. I went that route initially and my 2 door X now sits about an inch higher than a new 2 door Rubicon. I spent $200 on the springs and shocks, but they came off of the Jeep before it was ever driven off of the lot. You can usually find them for around $150, just check the for sale forums here. You will want front springs with a part number that ends in 18 or 19 and rears that ends in 58, 59 or 60.

Here are a couple of links about it:

Hope this helps,

If you are tight on a budget, and I mean really tight, you can't go wrong with the Teraflex leveling kit. I love the way it makes the JK look and it sits plenty high for 33s or 34s. It's 130 bucks and it's an easy self install for you or you and a friend. Got the kit on in 2 hours taking our time. I have a bunch of pics in my gallery and also have a thread with a tiny bit of information about how the install went. It's plenty easy and you are using the stock springs. The only thing you truly replace is the sway bar links. Just carry with you a floor jack and two jack stands and you're golden. Good luck on your decision!

Any of the spacer kits won't really affect your ride. You also don't really need new shocks with less than 2" of lift unless you want them.

I just put the 3/4" spacers on the front of my '12 JKU Sport to level it out. For $20, it was money well spent.
