Default Mopar lift kits

I am looking to hear from those of you that went with the Mopar lift kits. My dealer is saying that they will honor the bumper to bumper warranty if I go with the Mopar. What do/did you like about them or why I shouldn't go with it? I'm already having a hard time to convince myself over the price.

Thanks in advance!

Get it in writing that they'll honor it, btw Mopar performance parts( the mopar lift is considered this) have no warranty as stated in the warranty info.
Like I said, get it in writing all is covered. The Mopar kits are re-branded from RE and Superlift depending on which you get.

MOPAR lift is made by AEV, which does thier wheels also, I was told also by 2 dealers if they install the MOPAR lift it WILL be coverd by warrenty

I don't believe everything I hear also BUT in this case as where they do sell the lift @ the dealerships & install them it would be coverd, ONLY if you go aftermarket will the parts replaced NOT be coverd

hope this helps

el fuego,
I'm a JK Newbie also and have gone through what you are going through now. If you need to convince yourself then it is not the right choice currently.

My situation was the wife asked me to get down to one vehicle "jag super 8 and chevy zr2 blazer" so I got rid of both for a jkur last summer. Have always wanted a jeep. Then my research started, what type of driving was i going to do, daily driving to drop the kids off at school, soccer, tennis… work and back but weekends, off the beaten path but not rock crawling. What tires and size would i run that met my needs, then lift needed for type of driving and size of tires. Last was budjet.

I was between the 2012 3" stage 2 mopar fox lift, teraflex 2.5 fox aftermarket lift and the 2012 bilstein 2" mopar.

I went with the 2012 bilstein 2" mopar kit. The stage 2 mopar was more than i needed, also 3" and above my dealer would not warranty. I really liked the teraflex but the aftermarket shop here has had some problems with jeep lifts "had a few friends go there and would not go back".

Bottom line i have it in writing "warranty", this is mainly a daily driver and secondly off road, my dealers customer service is incredible. Im extremely happy with the ride quality/stability both on and off road.
Bilstein is a name I know and trust and was on both of my ZR2s.

I've seen that TeraFlex joined forces with Mopar to build those lifts. Quadratec says the same...

Whether its Moab, the Baja or your daily commute, Mopar enhances your JK’s capabilities, ride comfort and control. The 2” lift is ideal for 33” diameter tires, but will clear most 35s. The 3” and 4” lifts are best suited for 35” tires. All lifts feature coil springs with wheelbase-specific load ratings for 2 and 4-door JKs. Co-developed with FOX and TeraFlex, the Stage 3 Lift utilizes an external reservoir version of the FOX 2.0 Performance Series shock for even greater heat dissipation. The shocks, in combination with the Mopar / TeraFlex SpeedBump System (used on the front axle), provide exceptional performance at speed. Additionally, this system includes all four rear axle-to-frame link arms, and the front / lower link arms for ideal driveline geometry and front end alignment (no realignment required).

Thanks for the input, keep them coming. I'm not too worried as they helped me linex the hardtop and by the time I was done, I only paid 100. The service manager kicked in 100 and the sales manager kicked in 100. I'm not worried about the cost but if it isn't worth it then I dont want to spend that kind of money.

I have the 3" MOPAR/Teraflex lift with the fox. It retains the ride/handling qualities of a stock jeep on road, when you get off the road this lift shines. You get a great deal of flex and the shocks perform well. Im running 35's but my friend is running 37's but his is a little tight under the fender. Also I get 2 mpg better them him but mine is a daily driver. Now that MOPAR is putting out some quality components its definitely worth it. and there is the warranty thing

I to will be going with the 2" Mopar. My dealer also said that they will honor the bumper to bumper warranty. after all thet is a big reason that I rushed into getting the '09.
