Default What i the cause of the death wobble

I have an 09 rubi on 3 in full traction suspension and 35's. Been running this for about a year now and never had many problems. Last few months I've had the stealing wheel shack while I'm driving and if I hit and bumps it shakes worse. Yesterday merging on the highway the road was uneven and the shaking got so bad I lost control of my jeep and had to pull over. It felt like I blew a tire. But couldn't find any thing wrong. I've tried checking the u joints and can't find any problem. Plz help before the next time I loose it and not be so lucky. Thx. Also how can I check for some other problems.

If you read everything on here referring to death wobble you'll find out the steering stabilizer is not the cause it just masks the problem.

I don't mean to discourage anyone against being able to fix their death wobble issue, but i replaces all ball joints, top a lower control arms, bushings, track bar, tie rod, pitman arm, drag links and rear track bar. Also i had the drive shafts looked at and still had death wobble. i eventually just threw on a dual steering stabilizer and suddenly the problem was gone. Although it is best to diagnose and repair the problem before slapping the stabilizer on i think that in some cases (such as mine) it is necessary to use the dual steering stabilizer.

I just hope you can find and fix the problem before you give in to the dual steering stabilizer.

Sorry to dissapoint you but It was the cause of my DEATH WOBBLE. stering stabilizer had a hole and all the fluid leaked out. put on a PRO COMP and smooth as glass now.
