Aluminum tube fenders from Poison Spyder
I am looking for pics of poison spyder aluminum tube fenders. What did you do . Paint them or leave them bare. I want to see what they would look like bare metal. I am thinking of doing this with mine when they come in. I don't want it shiny but a brushed look. How would you get a brushed look, steel wool ? Any pics will help ,painted or bare. Thanks
Looks like we may have the ame color JK. I wanted to go with a Anthracite(Grey). I was talked into Matte Black by the powder coater. His reasoning was there are so many other things Matte Black that adding a fourth color would look odd. I also thought about leaving them bare but when you see the in thier raw form I think you will want them painted.
Here are a few pictures of mine to give you an idea. Like I said we look to have the same color JK.

I assume you will be installing these all at the same time. If you don't mind a couple words of advice. The drill bits you'll need to make the holes for the riv-nuts are not common sizes that you will have in a standard kit. There will be at least two drill bits you will have to purchase. My local Sears, Harware Stores, and Auto Parts stores did not carry them. I had to go to Fastenal or Grainger. Places that specializes in tools.
Second things is installing the riv-nuts. I bought a tool specifically for installing riv-nuts. The tool PSC suppiles will work but doing the fenders and body armor at the same time will wear your hands and arms out. I bought a riv-nut tool on Ebay for under $200. The ole saying measure twice cut once has never been more true on installing these. If you do not get these holes drilled just about perfect and the riv-nuts are not aligned with the holes on the fender or body armor it will make things difficult. I messed up on one but made it work.
I had a hard time deciding on color too. I thought I had my mind made up until I got to the place that powder coated mine. He changed my mind for me. I really wanted to do them in Anthracite. If only I have bougth the Argent AEV Pintlers. Then it would have worked.

so they match up with no big gap between them.
