Default Tires,Tires,Tires, which will last?

Hey Guy's,

i'm gonna buy tires soon and I want to know which brand and type would be best? I was thinking 37 inch Nitto Trail Grapplers or 37 inch Goodyear Kevlars. I'm trying to find out what is the milage difference on the two. Which one last longer? Does anyone own one or the other or have had both? Can any one give me some feedback or suggest what type or brand of 37's I should roll with?
Thank you for your reply.

I have the Nittos but not 37's yet but they are wearing great so far. I have about 10K on them and they barely look worn. They wear much better than the BFG's I have had in the past.

56k with that much tread remaining? Pretty damn good.

I had the toyo at's on a couple of my past rigs and really liked them. Waiting to see some reviews on the new at2. They look pretty cool.

Tough question. I used to rely solely on tread wear rating when looking at tires for previous sports cars. Id always go for the highest rating like 400 if I liked the tread design. FOr the jeep, TW Ratings dont seem common on the tires we all consider. I went withthe duratracs from GY. They supposedly last for 44,000 miles but they are currently on back order.

I'm partial to Toyo and Nitto, but tire and vehicle maintenance play a big part in how tires wear. Keeping tires properly inflated, rotated, and balanced will make a big difference in how long a tire will last. Also keep the vehicle aligned and suspension and steering components in good working order. My trail grapplers are wearing great and still look almost new after 10k miles

Yep in my opinion toyo just check the air pressure and rotate them every 3000 to 5000 miles.

I just put on some MTR Ks and so far I love them! They are quieter and still get great bite in the mud and the rocks I've only had them for about 3k but they look great so far. Way better than the BF Goodrich M/Ts that I had before.
