Default Anybody running an LOD rear bumper/Carrier w/ Hi-Lift jack?

I just ordered a 60" jack and saw on the LOD website you can mount it onto the tire carrier. Any of you guys doing this? Any pics? How easy is the install? How easy is it to remove on the trail when you need it?

Yep, I run the rear shorty w/ tire carrier and hi-lift.

Install of the bumper was a bit difficult, only becuase the fit against the frame rails is so tight, however, I have dropped the bumper on several rocks and it barely scratched...it is bomb proof! Quiet too, the only thing that rattles is the hi lift, not the bumper. I would recommend having an extra set of hands when you install, it will be next to impossible without the help.

The hi lift is held on by a couple of bolts, I just make sure to keep the right ratchet size in the tool box and your good to go. Might be able to switch to wingnuts, but I did not want it to be that easy to remove.

Yeah I have the lod shorty with a 48" high lift. When I put it on I had my hard top off. When I put my hard top on I'm glad I was paying attention because the back glass would have hit it. I had to reposition the upper jaw and it clears now by about a 1/4". I just have to make sure I swing the carrier to the complete open position. I'm probably going to spray the end of the jack with plasti dip just for insurance cause its a sharp corner and I'd hate to shatter the glass. I have mine mounted the opposite direction as the previous poster. If I had mounted mine like his there would be no way it would clear unless you mounted it very far to the left. But as he said its an awesome bumper. Only the jack rattles and I managed to install mine by myself using a floor jack, dead blow hammer, and a lot of colorful language..haha. I'll post some pics of the clearance issue when I get a chance.

Love my LOD setup!

Got all the goodies... here's one with the high-lift mounted and a 34" tire.

Cheers! ~ Paul.

Well... truth be told, I had it loaded up with a rubbermaid full of camping gear and two full gas cans... the arm is sitting lower now. Had to re-adjust the latch up a bit to compensate. But regardless, I still love it. I just take it easy with the stuff in the trail rack now ;-)
