Default Defroster lead detatched

As stated, one of the defroster leads broke off of the rear window. I went to one glass shop hoping for some kind of conductive adhesive and a quick fix. Instead they stated that an entirely new window was the only way to fix this problem. I am hoping that they are wrong, as I am a cheap bastard who would rather buy a million upgrades before a replace an intact piece of glass. Anybody have a solution?

Auto parts stores sell repair kits. Try that.

Oriellys can order a repair kit for $14. The price is certainly right. The sales clerk was unsure if this kit accommodated for the fact that this is a moving window; as opposed to a fixed position window in a coupe. I would like to do this once so I am hoping for someone with a known fix rather than a speculation or experiment that could make the correct repair harder to do later because the lead area is coated with the incorrect and non functional glue. Anybody been across this particular bridge?

Solder it. I did that to mine when it came off. I didn't do a very good job on the solder and it eventually came off again; but it worked fine till it did.
