Aftermarket sway bar
Hey guys, I am looking to get a aftermarket sway bar. I have a 2011 jk sport and i am so sick of my quick disco's. I am looking to the swayLoc and teraflex one to. Does anyone know which one is better and if there is any issues with using them. I believe they are both dual rate. Here is the link to the 2 of them. Whick one will preform most like the factory bar on raod and best off road?

I was looking into both of these as well. I am going to go with the Swayloc. I ran the Swayloc (manula not air) on my LJ and was very happy with the performance and reliability. I am using the Poison Spyder front bumper and Poison Spyder front skid plate, you will need to cut the PS front bumper skid plate if you use the Tera FLex one...not sure how it will work with other bumpers/skid plates. It was designed around the Tera Flex bumper so if you go that route you would not need to do any cutting...

Just finished installing a SwayLoc air operated model on my 2011 JK It works great and I really like it. BUT be forwarned the instructions you recieve are not even close to the actual work and process to install it. The instructions are for a TJ. The actual install has to be reversed and there is much fitting to be done. I spent at least 4 phone calls with Steve at SwayLoc to finally get it on. The bushing had to be shortened, the additional gussets had to be tack welded after assemby. There were several minor clearance issues that had to be addressed. I removed the bumper to make it easier and that proved to be a chore with the stupid plastic fasteners holding on the front plastic skid shield. Could not reuse them and Jeep wanted $6.00 apiece for them I used 3/8" bolts, washers, and nyloc nuts to hold the shield on. There is practically zero room in the engine bay to install an air system, but I finally figured out a place to install a fill point, a guage to monitor air supply, and a small airtank which will give you at least 10 on off cyles before refill.
All in all I am glad I did it, but the 2 hour estimate to installed came to 2 days of laying on my back to finish, If the instructions had been updated for the JK , the time would have been greatly improved.
After several rides I have noticed some minor rubbing spots which I will have to address by some judicial grinding of the offending culprits
The street ride is the same if not better than the OEM and the offroad is vastly improved. The air system is great , just flip a switch on the dash and you are either connected or disconnected.
If you want more info or pics I will try to oblige
