Default Superwinch

Hello all , i think i'v settled on which winch i'm going to purchase , it was between the superwinch lp10000 and the ( part #1510200 ) and the superwinch tiger shark 11500 (part # 1511200) i was going to but the tiger shark ( more stainless steel parts , larger motor ). Is that too much winch for a 2012 wrangler 2 dr ? If i buy it from their website , portion of proceeds go to hurricane sandy victims , and it ends up being just a little more for the tiger shark , good choice ?

In my experience, you can not have too much winch. Just make sure that the winch mounts/bumper are able to handle it. Ideally, the winch should be mounted low in the bumper, not high up or on top. Like this is best:

Honestly the 10k is more than enough for a 2 dr. I would stick with that. I use a 9500 on my Jku and it pulls great

I have the Superwinch EPi 9.0 with the synthetic rope. It has a 9k pull and does just fine. YOu have to remember when you a using the winch its not an empty vehicle you are pulling, the rule of thumb is to go with double your vehicle gross weight. It never hurts to have more pull, you never know when you will need to pull a larger vehicle out.
