Default 2013 Rubicon, limiting strap?

My dealer is trying extremely hard to sell me a travel limiting strap for my Rubi. Its only a 2.5 inch lift and he says that the no Rubicon does not need the strap. Do I need to strap my front end? Im assuming that this is because of the sway bar discos, but I have not read anything about other Rubi owners strapping their front axle. Thanks for the advice in advance!

If you have very long shocks your sway bar links can flip around backwards(see pic of bent link). That's the only difference I can see in this guys sales pitch.

I debated limiting straps but decided to just put longer links in and see how that goes.

A 2.5 lift without the necessary components is only for cosmetics. You need sway bar links, LCA, etc.

Dont Get it. Sadly I have a buddy that works at a jeep dealership. He said they try to sell people stuff they dont need just to make more money. Who ever sells the most vehicles and or, Brings in the most money for that month get a bonus.. So beware that they are going to tell you BS in order to buy things that you dont need.

Limiting straps are used on the Mopar (Teraflex) 3" lift to prevent driveshaft and exhaust clearance issues. The straps are not needed on the Mopar (Teraflex) 2" lift.

I honestly figured that is was a BS sales pitch, but unfortunately I did see a point in what he was saying. Any Rubi owners strap their Teraflex 2.5 inch coil lift? Anyone have any of the issues mentioned above?

I wheeled the Hell out of my Rubi with a Teraflex 2.5 coil lift with no issues!
