Problem's removing stock exhaust system.
Ok,
So I went under the jeep to remove my exhaust. I ran into two hiccups.
1. The Hangers won't come free in ther rear. (your probably going to tell me to man up, but other than cutting them off i dont have the anwser)
2. The clamp that holds the pipes together right after the cat, is seized all to hell. Does anybody have any trick for getting that sucker off there? It also looks like the guy who put it on, did so in the most inconvienent fashion, with little room to remove the bolt
If anyone has any ideas, i'm all ears. I'd prefer not to take a hack saw to everything,
BTW I am installing a Dynomax Evolution, and the installation instructions suck like a hoover.

The hanger is tough to get off. I ended up using a good amount of hand soap on the gromment and forced the hanger off by using large channel lock pliers.
For the clamp, try lubing with PB Blaster. You may have to use vice gripes on the nuts if they are in bad shape. Good luck!

I found that undoing the hanger on the drive side of muffler, then yanking the muffler off, THEN doing the passenger side hanger was much easier. As for the seized clamp... just wd40 and maybe bang on the hanger to loosen/push it off the cats. Goodluck!
Def use PB blaster on the clamp. Heat also works.
The hanger is a bit of a pain but you can use a pry bar and pop it off pretty painlessly. You can also get some silicone spray to lubricate the hanger so it pops much easier.

Another vote for PB Buster. Spray that crap on every few hours for a day..... it makes a big difference.
I've had good luck lubing rubber grommets with undiluted liquid dish soap + a pry-bar or large screwdriver.
Good luck

I recently did a cat back on mine afe high tuck 3 inch. As far as the rubber hangers lots and lots of hand soap and a good pry bar. Use a screwdriver to help it slowly get over the lip of the metal bar. As far as the steel clamps use a Dremel with a metal cutter they'll pop right off. Jeep from the factory installed one upside down right after the cat and put a tack weld so I had to cut it. Also piece of advice drop the middle skid plate so you can have room to drop the old exhaust pipe. If you have any questions pm me
Good News Everyone! I pogued out.
I cut off the hangers, no big, $3 a piece at Autozone, and so worth it, I would have spent $6 on PB Blaster.
Took a dremel to the pipe clamp, a snap and a slide later it was off.
Kit went on real easy, once I lubed up the tail pipe.
Dynomax sounds great, not loud compared to the gibson dual exit. There is more vibration, but that is expected. Finally my jeep doesnt sound like a rice burner, Hooray!
Thanks for yalls imput.
