So I've been very excited to get my hands on this mount. I've been building my Jeep on a budget, at the idea that I could get this and then eventually upgrade to the hinge was very appealing. Please do not read this as a bash thread as it is not my intent. The quality of this kit is top notch and Teraflex is a great upstanding company, hence why I gave them my business!

The piece that I was SHOCKED to learn about this kit is that with a stock wheel, you can't run a 12.5 tire without a spacer. The ONLY place I have seen this is in the instructions. I researched their website, excitedly watched their videos and this info was not anywhere except in the box after you receive and open the kit. So my carefully budgeted piece, now I have to add a set of wheel spacers and on top of that I have to add a separate 3rd light kit, because once you add a spacer, the holes will no longer line up to use the optional 3rd light bracket.

SO my question is, can anyone confirm this information? Is anyone running a stock wheel with a 35x12.5 tire on this carrier without a spacer? I'm running nitto trail grapplers which tend to be a little wider than others.

I've got the kit, already took it to work and pressed the mounts in, but I'm not going to order my spare yet if I can't mount it properly with the kit only.
