Default Shrockworks front bumper mod

So im ordering a Shrockworks front mid-width bumper, I was wondering if there was anyway to modify it to be able to hold the factory tow hooks. If the front bumper attachs the same as the factory one could you just cut out notches for the tow hooks to come out from?

I am not sure that it would be that simple. You could call Shrockworks and ask them to custom build one for you. Shrockworks contact info.

Why wouldnt you just buy some D-rings? They are only about 10 bucks a piece.

The D-rings would be safer and the bumper is already setup for them

Yea im getting the D-rings too.. I love the look of the tow hooks too and I would like to have the tow hooks for a quick pull without messing with the D-ring. I'd rather not have them custom built it since their lead time is already 6 weeks I couldnt wait any longer.

I don't think this is at all possible with the way the bumper attaches to the frame. Also, I think if you cut the bumper to allow tow hooks, you basically take away all the strength... personally, this is a bad idea. The recovery points built in are there for a reason.

If you like the tow hooks, then I would suggest a different bumper.
