Default Shrockworks Rock Rails

All I can say is Awesome. I've had aftermarket tube type rock rails on past Jeeps. Home made rails on some. Feld's square tube rails on my WJ. None even come close to the heavy duty design of these Shrockworks rock rails. These things are 50lbs a piece ! Money well spent. I like over engineering

I got mine unpainted. In the process of priming now. Unfortunately, I won't be able to install until the temperatures moderate a bit. We've been in the single digit temps for the last few days with no indications of letting up anytime soon

Yeah I've got some projects waiting until my hand no longer freezes to the wrench as well.

But if you like those sliders now, wait until you have them on. I think they'll outlast your Jeep.

BTW if you're thinking about the Rock Hard skids, you may want to install them before the sliders.

I have 'em and love 'em. Gave 'em some pretty hard knocks at Disney a couple weeks ago, and except for minor paint scrapes, they came through unscathed. I an thinking about something to cover up the pinch seam. Torn had the original Rubi sill guards and they really complemented the appearance of the rock rails. But, meanwhile I have the mid-width bumper on order and look forward to that as my next mod.

I am shopping for just such a thing... and when I saw the pics of these rails.. it appears that they mount to the frame.

I like this idea, but is it also true that the mounting bolts protrude from the frame. If a rock goes sliding down the frame, would it not shear that bolt off?

My second thought is that they are one of few that could support the JK's weight when using a hi-lift jack... that's a requirement of mine...

I love mine too. One tip, the installation will be much easier with a friend.

Yes, a Hi-Lift will pick up the side of your Jeep and the sliders don't even flex. I honestly would not ever recommend doing this, but I know for a fact that sometimes it can't be avoided.

I haven't had any problems with the bolts on rocks. The gas tank skid on the right is a real rock magnet and seems to absorb everything, nothing on the left. Anybody else?

What about using a hi lift from the front bumper's shackles (Shrockworks bumper)?
