Default 2012 transmission

Hello,

Just wondering what you all thought about some transmission issue I've been having....

When I shift into 4Lo no problem... Shifting back to 4Hi or 2WD... it sometimes doesn't want to go into gear... Yes, yes, yes...the knob is completely engaged in the correct spot. Sometimes it won't budge at all and just revs, sometimes it will just feel like it's stuck in 5th gear with absolutely no power and won't shift down. Usually, the fix is to put it in park and try again. Today, that did not work. I had to rock it into park, then restart my Jeep and it finally took off...

Any thoughts?

Tansfercase linkage could be on it's way out? It's only connected with plastic parts, could be bent or not seated right? Try your dealership it will be under warranty. If they refuse try a different dealership or call Chrysler direct.

Hope you can get this fixed easily! Good luck!

Try rolling at like 5mph when shifting back into 4hi or 2wd I almost never will shift from a stand still

yea i was going to suggest rolling as well.. maybe rolling under throttle vs rollin in neutral? or visa versa? you have warranty so take it in if you don't figure out the magic sequence that you're jeep desires..

Im also having this problem with an 2012 auto and the fix is to just move alittle and then it would go into gear or out of gear!
