Question Got a winch for Xmas - which bumper?

I got the silverback promark 12,000 lb winch, and I like the Mopar off road bumper. Will this one work? I asked the parts guy at jeep, but he had no idea. Is there another bumper that I should consider instead?

Outside of buying a bumper, do I need to get anything else?

Thanks!
Alice

What year is your jeep? You may need the vaccum pump relocate bracket.

Mount it on factory? But really any bumper will work if you have a welder and some nice thick plate. Here is a picture of what I want to do.

Gman - thanks! I have a 2012. Is there someplace I can look that up?

FunkyMonkey - that looks pretty cool! Is that a standard bumper? I am not sure if my local dealer is that savvy based on our initial talks.

Cheers, Alice

I have a 2012 and the relocation really depends on what type of bumper you decide to go with. I have an or-fab with winch and didn't need one. And if you stick with your factory bumper chopped like the picture above you still might be golden.

For a full width, I'd go with the Warn Elite, for stubby, maybe the ARB. They fit in the bumper not on top if that matters.

I have the Warn Elite Series Front Bumper and I love it! I have a 2010 Wrangler, so I did not have to worry about relocating the vacuum canister.

I have a 2012 and the winch plate bolted between the frame so I needed one. It was simple to install.
