Default New wheels / tires

Currently running a stock 07 Sahara with 255/70/18's. I don't have enough money to lift it as I am about to get married and i am going to have to be supporting two people. I want to do a 4" lift with 35's... But I am going to have to wait. The HT tires it came with have been shredded in about 3 months from taking it off road. So I chose to just get new wheels and tires and wait until I can save some money up to build it into the beast it should be. I ordered new 16" steel wheels and 265/75/16 bfg km2's. The guys at 4 wheel parts told me those were the biggest I could go without rubbing. I take it off road as much as possible and want to be able to disconnect the sway bar to get as much flex as possible without ripping up the wheel well. I am worried that the 265/75/16 is gonna be disappointingly small. The 255/70/18 is a 32.1" tire. The 265/75/16 is a 31.6" tire.... Do you guys think this is the right thing to do? Or am I making a mistake?

I'm running 265/70r17 which is pretty much the same size and it does seem really small, next tires I get will be 285/70 and I'm hoping it fills the well a little better. (I will either have to have wheel spacers or change rims first though)

Too small you can run a 15" rim and 33" tires you can also add .75 coil spacers front and rear for about $40 to give you a little more boost

I would also consider the 275/70r18 bfg at you can pick them up for around 200 a tire they fit your rims and run about 33.2"

Could you post a pic please? If they look about the same size as my current tires I will be happy. If they look a lot smaller I am gonna be bummed and have to look for a different alternative.

This is what my tire / wheel combo looks like right now.

With 4.5 backspacing some say it will at full flex, some say it won't... A risk I'm willing to take considering I'll be putting on a 2-3 inch lift eventually anyway

Cooper STT 275x70x18 skinny 33s & no lift. Made in the USA. Great overall tire. Some say it may chunk in rocks. Ran these for 3 years and a crazy 90,000 miles.

You may have to adjust your steer stops if the rubber rubs the lower control arms at full lock. No biggie, theres a write-up on how to do this. Or get Spidertrax 1.5" spacers that will place the wheels flush with your flares. Stance looks much better and increases stability in turns.

4" is very big for 35s, and very costly too.

Those coopers are good looking tires, and they lasted for 90,000 miles?! Was there any tread left?!

Does anyone have pics of 265/75 bfg km2s without a lift? Anyone running this size in this tire?
