Default Help Me Choose a Lift...

I have read and researched and read more and researched more and spoke with manufacturer's reps.,etc. I am pretty sure I have narrowed it down to 2 lifts:

1) Tera Flex 2.5 with new coils and shocks ($1000 plus tax installed).

2) Rough Country 2.5 with new coils and shocks, rear track bar bracket, new rear sway bars ($700 plus tax installed).

I won't be doing much off-roading as this is my daily driver. When I spoke with TF rep earlier today he pretty much convinced me to stay away from their budget boost as well as their kit with shock extenders and spring spacers. The shop that did my wheel/tire swap is a Rough Country dealer and naturally has tried to convince me to go for the RC lift although he would also do the TF kit if I chose that route. I am open to thoughts/advice.

Maybe add some upgrades if your ok with spending $1000

I put a RC 4.5 x series on my dads XJ and its a nice kit (arm bushings are junk) but I wouldn't put RC in the same ball park as Teraflex or Rock Krawler. I know offroad evo makes some nice stuff but I'm not familiar with there kits or pricing.

Super pleased with AEV on-road. Can't say for off-road yet. But then again I have nothing to compare to since I've only had a stock JK before this.

If it's between the two lifts you mentioned above, I'd go Teraflex. The TF guy posts around here and is super-helpful and people seem generally pleased with their coil lifts.

I am running the new Toyo Open Country AT/IIs in 295/75/16 on Level 8 ZX wheels (4.5 BS). My ultimate goal for my JK is just like everyone else's goal on here, "to have one badass looking Jeep." LOL! In all seriousness though, I am looking to take the front rake out while maintaining good on road manners with maybe an occasional off-road excursion in the Ocala National Park. No immediate plans for any hardcore off-roading.

The TF 2.5" coil lift will reduce your front rake. Here's mine with 33s.

I also have front lower control arms and front track bar to correct the front castor and axel shift. I'm now going on 95,000 miles with the lift and don't see any sag or feel any change in road dynamics.

I promise you will be much happier with the TereFlex lift.

Your Jeep looks good. I like the stance. Have you noticed any changes in the ride quality after your TF coil lift was installed? I am leaning this way.

Another vote for TF. I love the ride. I'm still on the stock rubber. My plan was only for 35s in the long run so it worked for my budget. I have the front trackbar with plans for control arms.
