Default Alignment issues....

Hey all new to the forum, this is my first post. Rotated the tires on my '08 Jk today (thinking I was doing something good) drove great up to 35 mph. When I got to 40 mph thought the front end was going to fall apart.

Long story short, one of my tires had about a half gallon of water in it. I would have never known had I not rotated the tires. Moral of the story is thought I needed new tires, turns out they just needed to be balanced, drained, and aligned. Rides perfect now. Just thought I'd share that one.

So where have you been putting air in your tires?

With the amount of water there is no way it came from a compressor. I thing the previous owner probably got deep in it and let too much air out of his tire to get out or something like that. There were no plugs or patches in the tire. It just had a Sh@#load of water in it.

With everything balanced my mileage went up and I can cruise at 70 mph without the fear of it falling apart. Now if I could figure out my "speed bump clunk!!."

First I heard of draining a tire. Is that an up-charge over balancing? lol So odd how water can get into unsuspecting places.

I also had to repair the Xfer case linkage in the console. It crumbled like brunt toast. I used two thing to fix it. Vinyl hose from Home Depot fit perfect. The I went to Ace and found a nylon spacer that fit better and was more sturdy. Still spent under $20. I also got the 1/4 hitch pins to hold it in.

I feel like Im getting to know the jeep.

To be honest there should be a type of dessicant filter on the compressor to get rid of moisture. That does sound like a lot of water.
