To me.....placement is terrible and dysfunctional for anything other than a mall crawler......if you were in a rocky trail with any rocks bigger than baby heads...you'd prolly hit the drum.

Down low, no protection...ideal location to jack it up when wheeling. There are several write-ups for mounting a winch to the stock bumper, I'd look into those instead.

That appears lower than the frame rails which could get damaged easy. We've got our mounted in theframe rails a few inches higher than that one but looks similar. 95% hidden from people & the elements but I built the mount for it. They don't have universal mounts for down low in the frame that I found.

The app search def sucks...here's a good thread from the write-up section.

Mine isnt on a stock bumper but it would work if you want to drill through it.

I have a hidden winch that NO ONE ever knows is there. there are a few write ups on here but it is easy to do I did with a hack saw, carbide "string" blade, and a drill.... I use a $40 mount from Harbor freight flipped upside down and cut to fit the frame rails then mounted the solenoid next to the battery

I'm just wondering... How the hell did he fit the winch under there?? All i can think is that he cut the hell of that front bumper frame to fit that thing! What do you all think?
