Default which Axle reinforcements?

Looking at reinforcing my front axle by installing Sleeves, upper and lower gussets, control arm skid plates and new bailjoints.
building to not break down...

I'm on Northridge4x4 site and could go with the following.
Synergy inner axle sleeve, upper & lower gussets= $165 (skids ?)

Teraflex sleeves and gusstes $167.17 (skids ?)

EVO has a package that has all three items, sleeves, gussets and control arm skids $264.95

leaning towards the EVO package.

Synergy Ball joints $200

if you have any comments about your vote that would be great to post..
thanks

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them as long as your welds are good .. From what I hear people love there evo stuff . I am looking to do the same thing this summer

All the gussets will do their job perfectly, like mentioned it all depends on quality of welds. Note for sleeves, weld in sleeves offer much more strength than 'pound in' sleeves. I have Synergy gussets, and Nitro's pound in sleeves.

I just installed Synergy gussets with Teraflex sleeves. Looks great. Any of them are fine as long as its welded correctly.

Artec Armor truss is better than a weld in sleeve. If you decide on a sleeve; do the no weld Nitro sleeve. $110 and do it yourself, although its a beatch to push in!

I just installed the Nitro "hammer in" sleeves. It was a quick easy job, just deep freeze them over night and clean up you inner axle before you install them. I was welding on axle c gussets at the same time so the heat helped open up the axle tube as well. Once in place, I welded the end of the Nitro sleeve to the axle tube for extra strength. RCV's will still work with this setup as well. The sleeve design will give your axle double wall thickness and provide a stiffer axle in less than 2 hours. Sure a truss will stiffen it up but you'll be spending three times the amount of time installing it.

sure, weld in sleeves are going to be a stronger sleeve since the stock D30 tube is now fused to the new thicker sleeve tube. This will increase both bending an torsional strength.

Hammer in sleeves, are only fixed to the stock tube through friction. They will provide strength in bending, just not quite as much as weld in sleeves since you have more chance to get some movement between both tubes. The force of friction with the hammer in sleeves, is the only thing preventing it. Hammer in= not quite as much torsional strength as weld in.

Installing weld in, be sure to drill holes on opposite sides of the tubes and go back and forth between sides when welding. Any sleeve is going to help beef up your D30, I am happy using Nitro's pound in sleeves. Just options IMO.
