Default Tire talk

I have 33" tires on 17 x 8 rims. The tread is starting to wear down so I've decided to go with 37" tires. I really like the way Nitto mud grapplers look but they only come in 13.5" widths. Can I get a 13.5" on an 8" wide rim or shoul I get something narrower?

It's not ideal, but it will work. Also, I'd reconsider the Mud Grapplers. They are extremely loud and wear quickly. There are much better choices, like the Nitto Trail Grappler or Toyo Open Country MT.
