Default White lithium grease

Ok, I bought the hyline bumper w/ tire carrier and the instructions say to use a grease gun and white lithium grease to lubricant the spindle of the tire carrier as I open and close the tailgate as far as possible to spread the grease evenly. Well I've been to four auto parts stores and none of them Carrie whet lithium grease in tube for grease gun, only in a hand squeeze tube. Lowes or Home Depot doesn't sell it either . So I don't know what to do. Should I just use a marine grade or water proof grease? Any suggestions?

Go to local auto parts store and get white lithium grease in a spray can. Just like brake clean comes in. It will work fine.

General grease for suspension components should be fine.

I would use the right grease. Some will break down rubber and plastic. That is why they say to use white lithium grease.

How do you suggest I get it from the hand squeeze tube into the zerk fitting?

I have always used EP3 general purpose grease on mine, there are no components the grease will damage in there, just metal.
