Trying not to spend money at all, if I cut where the bumper tapers (on other side of fogs) will the scrap end push into cut part??? Will it need jb weld or anything?

No i don't think it will just slide in conveniently, but you can make it work, others have done it I just cut mine and cleaned the edge up and left it at that

Yeah i used a sawzall to do the bumper (still on the jeep) and a flap disk to smooth out the ends. For the flares i used a jigsaw and sandpaper to smooth out the edges. I still have yet to reshape the fronts of the fenders how i wanted, but i'll get around to it eventually. I just can't fathom why I would want to spend $400-800 on fenders when i can just cut my stock ones for free lol.. I mean they aren't anything more than mudcatchers

And thanks!!!

I will say one nice thing about keeping the ends open is you can get in there with a tire iron or something similar and pop any dents out you may incur on the trail. This thing has taken a beating, just pop em right back out. I'm not shy because I bought a brand new from a guy for $30 as a backup if i messed it up. Once this one gets mangled enough i'll just cut the new one and throw it on
