Default backspacing for 40x13.50

Hi, i run 37x12.50 R17 on 17x8 with 3.14" BS, is BS enough for jump to 40x13.50 R17??

You've got other places to look out for when you go to 40's. IIRC the rear of the wheelwell up front needs to be addressed and maybe trim the grill.

ditto - unless you have some awesome axle upgrades and steering upgrades, you have a lot more issues to deal with than backspacing....

Depends on your rear axle shifting too and contacting you end links
I currently has 3.5 BS and am fine. I trimmed up my end links to help though but with your BS you should be fine

i cut off 3" of body rear, and front i limit up travel at only 2.5" and limit steering angle, i'm worry about front frame and rear arm clearence

steering is stock, axles: front c-gusset,rcv shaft,hd ball joint,inner tube,5.13 rp - rear alloy shaft

to maintaing full steering up front without rubbing you need to net out to 1.75" bs on the factory axle at 4" of lift. More lift will allow you to run more bs at the wheels. I would suggest some flat fenders as well. Stretching the front will allow you more room for steering as well.
