Welding Question: EVO Rock Sliders (or similar)
My husband wants to weld on some Evo rock sliders, however, we don't see how it is possible to run a weld on top of the scab plates (the vertical plates that weld to the frame). There is perhaps 2 inches of clearance, which doesn't seem like enough room to fit the electrode.
Do people normally run a weld along the top, or, is this left untouched? If it is welded, any tips on how to make a decent weld when you cannot really see what you're doing, and when there is so little room? I can't help but think this is an issue with any weld-on slider that uses scab plates.
Thanks so much!
