Default Rubicon springs on x

Hey guys, I have a 2007 x with a 2.5 TF BB. My buddy just bought a 13 Rubicon and he bought the TF 2.5 coil lift. I'm putting his lift on for him, and was wondering If I would see any benefit from swaping his Rubicon springs onto my x. He and I both have soft top 4 doors.

Thanks

Not worth the effort really. They may be a bit stiffer and if your springs are sagged you may gain back original height but that will be all.

might wanna be careful if you do it depending on which springs you have. If you have lower ones (14/56) and throw on some 18/59's, you could see 1-2" of lift. On top of your BB that would put you over the 3" limit for stock driveshafts. I was going to do the same but then decided against it. Ideally I wanted to just stiffen it up and gain a 1/2" max (thats what she said)

Edit: just saw you both have 4 doors, yeah prob not worth it, but check your spring numbers vs his...

Not worth the effort unless you swapped in only the fronts to offset the weight of a bumper and winch.

Thanks guys, yeah I am going to be adding a front bumper and winch soon so ill keep them around and if I notice sag ill throw them on the fronts.

So basically they are a little stiffer and will help with weight sag on the front.

Thanks

As I've said, you have to look at the tag on your springs. Last two numbers are the spring weight. Fronts range from 14-19 and rears 54-60. Then compare it with what he has. It has been said for each number you go up it will add about 1/4". So If you have 16/57 and he has 17/58 it REALLY wouldn't be worth your while.
