Default can't make up my mind on a lift

i got a 2012 jku that i am going to be putting tires and a lift on soon. i have narrowed the lift/leveling kit down to two. either the rancho 2" sport lift which comes with coils in the front, spacers in the back and either their 5000xl or 9000xl shocks, or the teraflex 1.5" performance leveling kit which comes with coils front and rear and sway bar links, no shocks. they are both about the same price. i kind of like the idea that the teraflex gives you the rear coils with their kit in the event i upgrade my rear bumper in the future but i also like the idea that the rancho claims an extra 1/2" of lift and it comes with some good shocks for the same money. but it would be a lot more simple to upgrade the shocks on the teraflex kit later than to upgrade the rear coils on the rancho later if need be. anybody have any experiance with comparing these two kits? is there any real difference in net lift between the two? opinions please. by the way, i will be running 33x12.50 duratracs for tires.

I haven't tried either, but I just put a 2.5 BB from rough country on my '12 jk with no complaints. I'm running 34's and have plenty of room.

I put the rancho 3'' sport lift in with the 9000 shocks. Plus they are giving a 300 dollar rebate. cant go wrong there.
But so far very pleased with the lift. Have done some light to moderate wheeling with it. Rides great and looks good too. I gained 4'' in the front and 3'' in the rear. It took the rake out and it sits level.

If I was going to do it over again I would get the rancho sport suspension with the rebate

Muddr1, I'm looking at the 4inch sport, I was wondering if you installed it? Any issues if you did and/or cost if someone else did it? Also, what do you think of the 9000's? I was wondering if the adjustable aspect of the shock is a gimmick or if you can feel a difference. Thanks for you input

I installed the 3'' sport. At the time they had some measurment issues with the fron track bar. Apparently it was about 3/4 of an inch too long, they sent me out a new track bar quickly and I kept the old one. I gained about 4 '' in the front and 3'' in the rear, it took the rake out of the jeep and it site level. I installed 33'' tires and installed flat fenders.

I like the look of a lifted vehicle, others say it looks too tall. but I like it.
Also the 9000 shocks are great. I highly recomend them. The ride is great, and you can definatly feel the difference when adjusting them. I usually keep them on 3. Gives a nice ride. You can set the stiffer if you are carrying alot of weight, or softer for a long highway ride.

Other than the trackbar, I have had no issues. and I have done some moderate wheeling with it also. So far I have not done anything with the driveshafts yet, that might come later, who knows.
And for the rebate alone, I dont think you can go wrong. I dont know what your intentions for wheeling are, but I would say if youre going for hard core, you have at least a decent starting point.

If your a weekend warrior like myself, I dont think youll be dissapointed.
