Question Will I need an alignment???

Just wanted to make sure....I'm instaliing my 2.5" Teraflex BB and 33's this weekend & I've read the install thread many times now...it states you will not need an alignment afterwards due to the new steering...BUT

How true is this??? These are expensive tires and I don't want to replace them anytime soon...what's your take???

With a budget boost you should be fine.

The main thing is to center the steering wheel. I put 35's on mine with a 2in lift and I'm pretty sure it needs more caster. It just feels way to twitchy so I'm going to have mine checked.

You WILL NOT need an alignment after installing this lift as nothing on your front end will change other than your steering wheel rotating over just a hair. This is due to the fact that unlike the old TJ the tie-rod and drag link are not connected and your toe-in will not change.

Is it safe to assume you have a 2-door? If so, the 35" tires will make you want to add on a couple more degrees of caster. However, please make sure to have your caster set using adjustable control arms and not by using cam bolts.

This is the same setup that I have already installed. You will be fine as you follow the install instructions. WOL is correct that you will need to recenter slightly. You'll see the steering wheel is slightly off shouldn't take very long to recenter and it's the last step in the instructions.

Yes it is, and thanks for the warning.
