Default Looking at AEV 2.5 vs current set up

I currently have the cheap mans lift on my 2 door 12...18/59 Rubi springs and Teraflex leveling kit, AEV brackets. 295/70/18 Terra Grapplers. The ride is harsh and beats the heck out of me. Was looking at the AEV 2.5. Any one using this set up on there 2 doors. I only go on power lines or logging roads. Thanks to reply.

Its about perfect for the way you use your Jeep, and it rides great on and off road.

I'd say it's still on the harsh side though. Ride is good, but you pay for better "sporty" driving dynamics with a bit harsher ride. I went with this kit from 18/59's on a 2-door, and I wouldn't say it's softer by any means.

I had the teraflex coil spring leveling kit with bilsteins and the ride was ok at best. I love how the aev setup handles. I drive it like I stole it and it handles so much better. The on road manners are awsome at high speeds if you run the highway a lot like I do.

i have the aev 3.5, and LOVE IT. it is top notch, love the ride on and off road. smooth comfortable ( i drove my jeep from key largo to philly in 1 day, (20 hrs) and was never uncomfortable.) i can only imagine that the 2.5 is just as good, especially now that you can use there drop brackets with the 2.5. go for it man you wont regret it. oh one more thing my mpg only dropped by 2 once i lifted it. so no regrets.

Finally got the AEV 2.5 in and used the drop brackets I already had. As everyone has said, it is night and day difference. Corners like a car and does not nose dive at every stop.

All my best...jason

Thats the best part with AEV. Wish it was slightly less bouncy, but there are always tradeoffs.

AEV 2.5 rides nice. I had a little play in the steering after install but after installing a fox adjustable stabilizer it now rides real nice.Click image for larger version
