Question Can you install a drag link flip with less than 4" of lift?

I have the RK 3.5" lift and I was planning on installing a Synergy drag link flip but I keep seeing that you may not want to flip the drag link with less than 4" of lift?

I have a TF 3" lift and flipped my drag link. No issues with binding or clearance but you'll want to get a track bar relocation bracket as well.

The Rock Krawler 3.5 max travel kit comes with a high steer kit so you should be fine flipping the drag link.

What size bump stops do you have? You will want 3" bump stops in the front to prevent the drag link of hitting the frame.

You can definitely install the flip kit and it will work nicely with this set up, providing you have the correct bump stops. PM us if you want a quote.

What are the differences between the Evo and synergy drag link flip kits?
i see the Evo is forged and the synergy uses DOM tubing.
Are the joints any better on one of them?

flipping the drag link at low lift heights can be done just realize that you will loose quite a bit of up travel in your front suspension due to the fact the drag link will hit the frame. Expect to add around 3" of extra bump stop and only have about 2" of up travel unless you are willing to notch the frame.

What is gained by flipping it? Just a couple inches of clearance?

Flipping the drag link and raising the track bar on the axle will correct the steering geometry that gets screwed up by lifting. Keeping those links as parallel with the ground as possible will also minimize the amount of axle shift you get when articulating the front suspension.

No clearance is gained by doing a drag link flip.
