Default Skyjacker jk25bph

Hello all, looking for some info, I am about to start building my jk. I bought skyjacker jk25bph which states 2.5" for jku, and 3.5" for 2 door which is what I have. It does not come with control arms, or front trac bar which I plan to buy. Main question is do I need control arms? I am lucky if I got to 2 jamborees a year, and I ride on beach that is the extent of my wheeling. Any info would be appreciated, thanks

Skyjacker was a pretty poor ride in my past experience. You'll find people who love it but keep in mind that they may not have experience with other brands. For me....I've run skyjacker, tf, bds, and pro comp and I've been in a jk with a rough country kit. So take my advice with a grain of salt.

Thank you, luckily it's not my daily driver anymore, I may at some point drive it to work a couple times a week, 100 mile round trip, so ride is not as important to me if it was my DD. I really want to know if there is a problem with not replacing control arms. Any feedback on that?

As you lift higher, the axles tilt. Up front, this lowers the caster, which causes flightier handling. If you can deal with the handling, then don't worry about caster correction.

As you lift higher, the driveshafts run at steeper angles. IF you have an issue and decide to replace with aftermarket, you will want new arms to adjust for the new joints.

You will be fine. If you go bigger or start wheeling a lot then get some.

I just posted this in another Sky**cker thread.

I bought a 3.5" lift for about $600 and regret every penny of it. I'm in the process, right now, of taking it off and putting on the EVO DoubleD long-arm bolt-on kit.

With Sky**cker you get what you pay for. Don't throw away your money like I did.

What I didn't say there was the ride is extremely stiff. I bounce all over the roads here. I'm really looking forward to these "EVO Plush Springs" to make my Jeep comfortable again. A lot of the dirt roads to trails here have washboards and I felt every single one. If you go with them don't get the hydro shocks. They're cheap for a reason. Mine squeak and squeal, all four.
