Default traction control light?

2012 jkur auto, 2.5 teraflex coil, adj lca, and adj front trackbar, 35" km2's.
My jeep has been setup like this for over a year now. Yesterday when I drove it it was wondering a bit. It has never done that before. Also on the way home the traction control light came on but has since gone away since I turned it off/on. I have been unable to climb under there and look arount so far. Any ideas on what I should be looking for? Thanks!

Mine comes on at least a couple times a month. Once u turn the Jeep off and start it again the light will turn off shortly. It has done it since the day I bought it. It's also a 2012 auto and did it when it was completely stock.

I asked the dealer about it and since you can't reproduce it easily, it will be hard to diagnose. They thought maybe they could scan the system to see if there are any codes. I haven't had them try because I unplugged the battery to install my winch.

Take the positive and negative battery cables off for a few mins and if that doesn't work... Have your ABS sensors looked at. Mine did the same thing and ended up being a bad abs sensor.

One thing I noticed is that it most often comes on when turning left from a steep hill onto a street that descends to my house. It briefly acts like it can't find the right gear or something. It's more of an annoyance since it turns off. It happens under all road conditions.

If you have a Superchips unit you will be able to pull a fault code. Unfortunately the usual on dash fault code sequence will not work for this. Mine was a loose ABS sensor wire that had popped out of the bracket on the front calliper. Must have been hitting the C and upsetting the sensor signal. Replacement sensor wire about $24 if needed.
