Default Dana 30 factory locker??

My wife's jku is in the body shop after a accident. Getting a new front diff. They are saying that jeep offers a dana 30 with 410 gears and a locker. I've never heard of such. Anyone know of this?

That would be a dana 44 or rubicon diff... Unless its for the older TJ rubicons??

They must be thinking D44 Rubicon front axle. My 07 came with a "Tow Package" that included 4:10 gears and a limited slip D44 in the rear but an open D30 up front.

Heck, if your D30 is trashed you might as well upgrade now if you can afford to.

$300 is a steal for a locker AND installation! Did you ask him what type locker it is?

Also said the brand new one is less than a junk yard wanted for a used rubi 44. I know it was $2900.

Well if you're getting lockers and 4.10's up front, you'll have to regear the rear as well.

I think he is confused, or is confusing you. You aren't getting a front selectable locker for 300. Maybe he is putting in an Aussie lunchbox?? Ask 'specific' questions so you know what you are getting. If the price is close to a front rubi44, why in the world would you let them install a d30?

A brand new front rubi44 with elocker and 4.10's will be 2660 plus shipping/tax, according to this website.

Why did you buy a rear D44??? Did it get trashed in the wreck too? Or do you have one of the early 07's that came with a
D35?
