Default Teraflex 1" rear spacer and factory spring isolater QUESTION!!

Ok so I have a 2012 2 door JK with the Teraflex 2.5" coil spring kit. I recently installed a heavy rear bumper/tire carrier combo, so it sagged the rear a little. Today I installed the 1" Teraflex rear spacers to bring the rear back up. I've read about this on other threads, but couldn't really get the answer I was looking for. I am extremely happy with the Teraflex 1" spacer, but the instructions said to remove the original factory rear isolator where some people say to keep it in!

Does anyone have any experience with this or have done it before?? I'm thinking of putting it back in there for (a tiny bit of) extra lift. Especially considering that it seems like the factory isolator literally sits and locks in perfectly to the teraflex spacer. Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated!

I don't know if there is a right or wrong answer, but I installed the TeraFlex leveling kit and I'm pretty sure I put the isolator back in with the 1" spacer. I remember the instructions weren't clear, but like you mentioned they fit together. Don't you need the isolator plus the 1" spacer to get your 1" lift? I can't remember exactly, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong :-)

It is fine to run it either way. If you want the extra lift, throw it back in there.

According the Teraflex, the spacer is designed for 1" of lift and the isolator gives you about another 1/4" but again, they say to take it out. They do fit together pretty perfectly though. Thanks for the response!

While we're on the subject, anybody have an easy way to get the stock isolator back in there without jacking up the Jeep and dropping the rear again??

I'm positive I read on some budget boost instructions to put the spacer on first, then the isolator so it sits on top of the spring. I'm not positive if it's absolutely necessary.

I put both in. As a matter of fact I found a source where it said exactly what to do to slip the 2 together. They went back on perfectly so I guess it's OK. Besides I found the info on the Internet so it's gotta be right!!
