Default Octane/which tune? Superchips question

Ok, so I just got a sweet deal on a superchips flashpaq and I have a question.

Jeep info: 2010 JKU sport auto, 3.73 gears, 35's, and a 3 inch lift.

Which tune would be the best for better gas mileage and power. I'm a cheap bastard so I use 89 octane (if there was anything lower in my area, I would use it!). I tuned it to the 93 octane and noticed a difference but I don't want to pay for 93 octane gas.

Any suggestions? I've heard horror stories about using the 93 tune on lower octane gas but I want to hear what everybody thinks.

Thanks!

Gas mileage with a jeel its crap not matter what tuner! I run the 87 tune with 87 octane. I woukd try that tune and see what happens. A lot of people like the tow tune. I ran the 93 for a while but the cost vs gain wasn't worth it. Regearing to 4.56 or 4.88 is going to be your best option.

I have an 08 x 2dr 33 2 1/2 lift 3.73 gears. I use the 87 tune. Anything is better than the stock programming.

I run the 87 tune, and it runs fine on 89 as well.

I run the 87 tune with 89 fuel. The 3.8 seems to like this set up to me. Didn't notice enough of an improvement running the higher tunes to excuse the gas cost.

Ok thanks! I'll give the 87 tune with 89 octane a try.
