Muffler delete!!

Actually I can only speak for the 3.6L engine, I had a dynomax dual (#39510 I think) exit exhaust I installed that I wasn't fond of so I removed it. I didn't have time to reinstall my stock one so I left it off and haven't put it back. I like the sound and have been asked by several jeepers what exhaust i'm running. Not sure on what that would sound like on the 3.8, but it doesn't cost you anything to find out.

I have the 3.8 and did a muffler delete as well. I like the sound and it was a easy/free mod.

Dont delete your muffler on the 3.8. Such a ridiculous mod. I got the mbrp off road kit and it was pretty good. Got tired of the noise and replaced the muffler with a dynomax turbo muffler. Best balanced sounding muffler. I've had 3 setups so far. Stock, stock with dynomax ultra flo, mbrp off road and now mbrp with turbo muffler. Look me up on youtube. Dynomax super turbo jk.

Don't remove the muffler on the 3.8 pulled mine in anticipation of dynomax being delivered. No muffler sounds great at idle, but that's the only time. I feel a dramatic loss in power also IMO. It's so bad that after flying all day long back to Germany from Texas and getting home around 4pm I'm putting the dynomax on just so I don't have to 10 miles to work.

Ive never had that issue ever. Sounds like something unrelated to the exhaust. Only reason you maybe noticed it was because of the increase in exhaust noise.

I haven't heard of this on take off.... what type of transmission do you have, by chance? Manual?
