Default Gobi, Garvin, etc ??

Have a 2dr and like most, need more cargo space. Great excuse for a roof rack. I have the AEV front and rear bumpers and was wondering, other than the Gobi which has the AEV adapter brackets, what other roof rack systems would fit? Rugged ridge Sherpa roof rack looks interesting as well. Any thoughts, reviews from those running any of these?

I would encourage you to check out the gobi rack in person. The craftsmanship and regitity is really something else. I don't have one and they are pricey but i saw one at the Bayside expo auto show and it was by far the best case of "you get what you pay for" that I've seen in a while.... sort of like AEV. sounds like it would be right up your alley, JMO

Another recommendation for a Gobi. I have the Stealth and have no complaints. Very well made, strong, and looks sharp too.

My vote is for the gobi. Works well as a jungle gym for the little ones too. They love that ladder in the back!

I've seen garvin in person and owned two kargo masters. For the money, kargomaster is hard to beat.

That being said, I went gobi on my JK. It is truly one of the nicest racks I've ever seen or owned. Just took mine on 1,200 mile round trip at speed, 85mph, no rattles and surprisingly decent on wind noise.

The packaging is impressive too!

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

Interesting. Looks like they've changed how the front bar mounts to the cowl.

How new is your rack? Mine is about a year old now and the front is different at the base of the windshield
