Thumbs up Locking the Spare with an aftermarket Tire Carrier

Now that I have installed my OrFab spare tire carrier and now have a tire without a locking lug nut there....I was wondering the best way to protect the spare from being stolen? There is a small hole it appears to add a pad lock or locking chain. Or could fabricate a plate behind the wheel and use the lug nuts again. THanks for any suggestions!

Two small padlocks is all you need...see my photos below.

One locks the spare at the "T" handle and the other locks the carrier at the latch. It is a good idea to have something at the latch to keep it from accidentally popping open while on the road or trail.
