Default Mickey Thompson MTZ

I have a 2009 2dr that is geared 4:56. I am currently running 33's Baja Claws. This all being said is who is running the MTZ in a 35? This is the tire I am looking to go to next. Looking for reviews of those who have experience with this tire. My Jeep is mostly a DD but does see mud and sand from time to time. I know no tire does it all but opinions from those running this tire would be appreciated.

I run the mickey thompson mtz's but in a 38x15.5x20. Jeep is my DD but does see dry desert trails and big rocks and I've Been very happy with these as an all around tire. They grip really well offroad and feel great on road. I guess some people might complain about tire noise? I don't know what that is, I like hearing some tire music when I drive.

i have the MTZs 315/70. My honest non-fanboy take is this:

- relatively quiet on road. There are quieter MTs out there but these are not on the loud side of the scale.

- siping in the lugs is nice. They are decent enough in rain.

- wear is good so far. But as with any MT you cant get lazy on chalk test and rotation.

- they can chunk off more than some others out there.

- they run small. "35s" are actually more like 34s.

- no problems balancing them.

I would probably go with them again if I decided to go MT again if the price was right. They look good and perform well enough on and off pavement.

My next tire most likely will be Falken Wildpeaks as this is more appropriate for my usage. MTs look awesome but arent my favorite for my 2 weeks on the sand every year.

I have the 315/70/17 MTZs now and they're great. Great tread wear, minimal noise on the road, and they look great. I'm going with the 37 in this tire once these wear out, which will hopefully be in another 6-9 months.

I had them and I can say that they are one of the best tires I've tired. Good traction on road, rock and mud. They really are not loud on the highway.

I ran MTZ's in 35" on my 12 jk with 4.88's Nice tire. Be careful not to get E rated tires. They are too stiff for the JK and cause some strange rebounding when inflated to less than 40lbs. I had them by mistake and changed to C rated and they are fine.
