Default 255/80/17 copper st maxx

Was looking at the copper st maxx in 255/80/17 and was wondering if any one has thought on them. They only come in E ply. Is the E ply going to be to harsh a ride? I like the size but not sure if I want the harsh ride. I have a 2 door jeep also.

I just picked up a set on Tuesday. They seem to be a very nice tire, a little more aggressive looking in person than in pics. I hope to get them installed this weekend, I'll post more thoughts after I put a few miles on them.

E tires do not all ride harsh or rough. I have E rated Toyos an they ride great but I think the secret is running the proper psi ie under 30psi. If you run them at 40-60psi they will be harsh.

I've had these exact tires for several months and thousands of miles and find they are fantastic, much smoother than OEMs that came on my 14JKURX and very impressive aired down. Quiet, smooth on the road, durable, stud capable, just an excellent tire. Had them ordered through DT so they came in with a current date from Cooper. Highly impressed so far.

Thanks for the info...think I'm going to buy them. Tread depot has them for 180 a tire.

Nice looking Jeep you got there! I might have swiped a pic of your jeep from the AEV site and used it to make the decision to go with these tires.

Here is the pic I'm referring to,
