Default Hankook Mt or Maxxis Bighorns.. Anyone?

Anyone have any experience with either of these tires, about the same price. Daily driver but sees a lot of mud, no rocks. The Hankooks look a bit milder but people talk about them being great in mud? any advice....

No experience with the Hankook, and don't recall seeing any posts on them. But a quick search will bring up quite a few threads about the Bighorn. Very good reviews, especially considering the price savings vs the bigger name tires. I liked them in 35", too bad they don't make 37's.

I have had plenty sets of hankook MT's...yes they pull in the mud, if you can spin em to clean them out they do good. Last a good bit on highway also...40k plus mileage out of few sets.

I'm running the Hankooks, I like them. Long tread life, great on rocks and mud. Snow they aren't the best since they have no siping. I'm happy enough with them that my next set of tires will be the Hankooks in a 37"

I wheeled once with a guy that had bighorns on his jeep. He did fine with them. That's all I can say about either.

I had 33" Maxxis Bighorns on my old Cherokee. I loved them. They were great in all terrain and weather even ice.

Run Kooks but E Rated in a 16".
Nice tire, wearing well and handles well/no vibes.
Can be a little grippy and follow road imperfections.
I would def run them in a 37"

I ran 35" bighorns for 2 years. Just as good if not better than my toyos off road. They are much louder on road driving though. Typical m/t humming noise. They also run a bit small. Similar to the km2's. Again, they were awesome off road so it didn't matter. I went with toyos thinking they would be better somehow but I was wrong. My bighorns had about 20k on them and about half tread left. The minimal siping on them was gone so they sucked in snow/rain at that point.

I'd gladly run them again but my next tire is 37's which they don't make. I will most likely go with the maxxis trepador radial in 37's.
