Default Which would you buy?

I currently own a '01 xj and am looking to add a new rubicon unlimited. I have offers of $700 over invoice for a 2014 rubicon unlimited X. $890 over invoice for a 2015 rubicon unlimited hard rock. $500 under invoice for a 2014 rubicon unlimited.

Which would you buy, if any. If none what price would you be looking for?

I would be looking for invoice on 15 and below on a 14. The tread lightly membership guarantees 1% below invoice.

When I ordered my 2014 Rubicon X I was able to get 2.5% below invoice. Many of the guys on the 2014 Wrangler thread on Wrangler forum were buying below invoice. When I ordered I walked in and said what I wanted and that I wanted to pay at least 2% below invoice. My salesman and general manager made it happen.

I've got a 2015 JKUR HR queued up for factory order with my salesman. It's roughly 2% below invoice. Walked in with the Tread Lightly preferred pricing and started there.

Check out these threads on the Wrangler Forum:

2015 JK order waiting room
2014 JK order waiting room
2014 Wrangler Priced Paid

They have lots of entries but very informative. I was subscribed to the 2014 waiting room for a month or two before I ordered mine.

Wow I'm glad I asked thank you guys. If anyone would like to refer me to their salesman I'll travel for a good deal!

I'm going to guess that you are in Colorado based on your screen name. I'm in Michigan which would probably be too far.

As said already, invoice or below with or without "tread lightly" or "employee program" incentives. These are real numbers people are talking about, not just egos saying they got good deals. Plenty of dealers will do it.

my 14 rubicon was 43 something msrp, picked itup for 39 and change, im not sure if invoice is msrp or somewhere in between those 2 numbers. would have cost close to 45 to order what I got in a 15. The X is nice but its just a rubicon with steel bumpers and a vented hood, you can vent your own hood and youll likely swap your own bumpers anyway. and alot of the awesome bumpers i see getting put on by the folks on the forum are cheaper then X bumpers
