I think it's all just talk. People think that if anybody important sees their wish list, it may actually happen. IFS seems to be heavily rumored. But nobody has officially mentioned a diesel as far as I've read. We probably won't know until it happens.

 

Yes, old news. There are several threads about rumors for 2016 and possible redesign in 2017. At this point, it's just rumors from friends who have a brother that works at Chrysler or "my dealer told me this."

 

A diesel will not happen on any other jeeps in the US unless Jeep sell a lot more diesel Grand Cherokees. They are not selling enough as the pricing is too high.

8 speed transmission is coming and don't be surprised if you can't lower the windshield. From a cousin who works on transmission quality.
