Default Time for new tires

Hi. It's been a long time since I've posted here. Please forgive me if this question has been asked a thousand times before.

I have an '09 JK and the original tires are finally wearing out after 70k+ miles. I plan to buy new ones before winter. My JK has been mildly modified with a 2.5 inch Terraflex springs & shocks lift kit. In addition to that I also have some wheel spacers. I think they are fairly thin (1.25"??). These were installed when the lift kit was installed because I got the dealer I bought the Jeep from to install the lift kit and they said the tires would scrub without the wheel spacers (which I now think is probably BS). But anyway, the spacers are there. I still have the stock wheels.

My stock tires are P25575R17. I would like to get something a little larger, without buying new wheels. 99% of my driving is highway, though it does snow in the winter, and I work in a hospital so need to make it to work, snow or not, and I always have.

Any recommendations?

if you do mostly highway and just a lil bit of offroad, i would look into an all-terrain and with that size lift i would look at a 305/70/17 like a goodyear duratrac, or a general grabber at2

33s would look good with that lift and wouldn't require anymore mods. ATs or some well mannered MTs can be picked up for a decent price.

You should be able to go up to a 35" tire with your current setup, though you may want to consider gearing. If you are not interested in going that big, there are plenty of 32's/33's/34's on the market to choose from.

The tire choice recommendations will depend on what you think you want/need. A more traditional AT tire, an aggressive AT tire, a beefy offroad tire that handles well onroad. The Goodyear Duratrac is probably the most popular all-around tire being talked about these days, but there are other good options out there to look at, and even several new tires that seem to be direct competitors for the duratrac.

If it was me, I'd do a 35" trail grappler but I like a good MT. Nitto Terra grappler is my second choice. If I had to pick something out for you, my pick is a 33 inch terra grappler. The Duratrac has also been a great tire on our work trucks. I'm just a Nitto fan. Have 40k highway miles on my silverado with trail grapplers and they have 50% tread left. Go for what you want and like. I'm just here to enjoy the show and give you my 2 cents!

X2 on nitro trail grappler. Have had many sets of at and the trail grappler is still quieter after miles and excellent wear. Also would recommend 33" so when you go off road less chance for scrubbing

X3 on the nittos. I'm running 35's and they are very nice on the road as well great on the trail. Did some mods on my axles though due to the extra torque/loading 35s can have. But as everyone is saying there are a lot of good tires out there.

x4 on the Nitto. Only tire I will run, unless I try the Toyo. But, they are the same company.....
