Flashpaq for 6-spd manual 3.8's -- if you have it, did it make much of a difference..
and would you purchase it again knowing what you know? I'm mulling the upgrade from the Flashcal and curious to hear some opinions..
I have a 2010 JK 3.8, 6 speed manual. I just installed the Flashpaq yesterday so premature to have much experience. I will say it did feel different though. I have read positive feedback so I guess time will tell.
I have it with my 2007 manual. I noticed a difference. Did it make it feel like a diesel or a race car? No. But, it does pull up hills a little better. I bought it mainly to adjust my speedo by inputting the correct gear ratio and tire size, the added performance was a plus. Worth it in my opinion.
I was in the same boat as you I've read both yay and nay in a flash paq with a manual. Never read a post with numbers or diagnostics.
Since I just added a lift and 315s last weekend I don't have a comparison
But I ended up biting the bullet as I did take advantage of the 50% upgrade though with the only thought process if I get some gains (mpg) then it would be worth it
Right now just using the 87 tune. So we will see how that goes

I had a 2010 2 dr. Rubicon 6 sp., 2.5" lift with 33" tires. Power, in my mind maybe. , but I really noticed the throttle lag improvement, as far as gas mileage, I didn't get it for that. But the rest of the features, yes.

I have a '11 , 3.8L, 6 spd, running 32", 2.5" lift and stock 3.21 gears. I upgraded my flash cal to flash paq. I run the 91 tune and have used it to change tire size, TPMS settings and diagnostics. It was worth it in my opinion. But you have to turn higher octane with the tunes or run the risk of knock and ping. Seat of pants gain for sure but it pulls the hills better and I can hold 6th gear longer. Mileage still hanging 18-19 mpg.
2008 JKUR 6spd. Used it to adjust TPMS, tire size, speedo etc. Mine must be a dud as I don't "feel" all the power and pick up that all these other guys feel. So to summarize don't expect any big performance gains as you will be disappointed. As for the rest it, does as it should.
