Default inner fender liner options

i have an extra set of factory fenders that i cut into flats. However the front fender wells look like ass with the factory liner cut also. there is a nasty gap at the rear of the fender. i do not want to remove the liners completly and leave the engine, starter, etc. exposed to water, snow and salt. I have my uncut flares on for now but would like some ideas so i can prepare for spring. i would appreciate hearing and seeing what others have done.

Do you still have the inner liners? Did you cut them already? If not, they can be cut and assembled to look factory with very little work.

Yes. I still have them. They are on the jeep now with uncut flares. How can I close that gap at the rear of the fender?

Post up a pic. If you have already cut them then you probably missed cut like I see a lot of people do.

I cut the flares but haven't cut the liners yet. I hung 2 flares but bailed on the mission because it was too cold to paint the rear wells. When the cut flares were on I held the liner in and it appears that they will not be flush with rear of fender. I hope to revisit soon if we get some warmer temps. I just want to be ready and not spend all day troubleshooting.

I think those are bad A!! The description says they are designed for metal cloak flares. I'm sure they would work with any flare though. I wonder if any other mod is needed to make them work?

Well, I really can't direct you to another forum... however, if you click on the link in the NOTEs section on the web page you will see a very detailed write up from someone who installed them but didn't use MC fenders.

Good luck!

I have PSC fenders and installed the Metal Cloak liners. Pretty easy install and I really like the way the front is cleaned up, no exposed engine bay.
