hi i bought some factory rock rails, without the 6 bolts i need for install . i was wondering if anyone knew what size bolts i need. i asume that they fit into the 3 holes i found on each side covered by tape ? if anyone knows that would be a great help ! thanks alote !

 

Two bolt sizes are used.The smaller bolts are 10mm and need a torque of 8 ft lbs.The larger bolts are 13mm and need a torque of 16 ft lbs.This is from the Mopar instruction sheet.Watch when fitting not to drop rails as they will give you a bit of a nasty headache!!

You can only put them on one way. Place the 6 smaller bolts through the pinch seam and the 3 larger holes will line up under the body. I tighten them hand tight as not to loosen and come off.

 

thanks for the help. i have the the smaller bolts and nuts the bigger ones i dont have . that is what i need. someone said 13 mm i guess that is the size of the head ? what size is the hole ? thanks alote

 

not sure on the size, but I got some xtra ones from dealer. They gave me one for free, they can't be that expensive. They are the same bolt used for the side steps.
